Benefit Strategies offers Direct Billing administration for billing of employees of premiums not supported for collection by standard payroll deduction. Direct Billing is most commonly used when employees temporarily leave employment or go on leave without pay for medical or other approved reasons, such as LOA, FMLA and Furlough. Benefit strategies will bill employees directly, providing them with payment coupons through the end of the leave period. Communications, process, and grace periods can be customized to your specific direct bill program rules.

Carrier Payment & Reconciliation - Add on Service
For an additional fee, Benefit Strategies will remit payment of collected premiums to Insurance Carriers directly on behalf of the employer.
With the addition of carrier payment and reconciliation to your retiree or direct bill administration, carrier invoices are sent to Benefit Strategies. We reconcile insurance carrier bills against the eligibility in our system, and adjust discrepancies with the insurance carriers directly.
Your retiree or direct bill population must exist as a separate group number or sub-location with the Insurance Carriers for invoicing and eligibility purposes to add this service.
