Plan Design
At Northwest Dental Benefits (NWDB), we believe you shouldn’t need a PHD in insurance to understand your coverage. That’s why NWDB Plans are simple to navigate and use. As a mover-and-shaker in the industry, NWDB does things differently than carriers you may be used to. NWDB removes traditional barriers by:
- Using a Copay (not Percentage) Based system. Instead of waiting for a surprise bill in the mail, NWDB Members know their financial obligation at or before the time of their visit.
- Minimizing fine print. Fewer waiting periods and exceptions make accessing benefits a breeze.
- Removing traditional preauthorization requirements. NWDB Providers are the authorizers of treatment, so Members don’t have to wait on an insurance middleman to receive care.
- Making plans inclusive. NWDB Plans do not have separate maximums for services like implants, which are covered under the Annual Maximum, and Members will never be denied for issues like a missing tooth or past work.
- Eliminating the need for a Membership Card. Bye bye, wallet clutter! NWDB Network Offices access Member information using just a name, employer, and birthdate or social security number.
